MY STORY

Firstly welcome to my webpage and happy reading.

I first became interested in this breed when I was 14 years old, I attended the Royal Adelaide Show that year (2006) and that day I was first introduced to the Papillons! (Pronounced Pap-e-yon) I had never seen such a graceful little dog in my life, and It was safe to say they stole my heart.

I researched, studied and researched some more. I wanted one of these dogs, and after having my first job and waiting for a litter after a year's wait, I found a pup. At 15 it was a big decision for my mother to allow me to have the responsibility to own a dog. Glad she let me because 'Cindy' is the one who started it all for me.

From having her from a puppy, training and bonding have been very special. She is the most incredible dog I have met. She has travelled with me to Darwin, lived in the cold Adelaide Hills and now to the Beachside. She had the personality to melt anyone's heart she meets. Unfortunately, Cindy passed away in 2018 due to aggressive Cancer; she was only 12 years old. She had a good life and was so full of happy spirit.

I am only a small breeder; I actively show more because I love this part of the sport. I get to show my happy and healthy dogs off. I don't breed very often because it is very time consuming and bloody hard work! I will try to have a litter at least once every two years, but the puppies are then raised on through Puppy Culture techniques. This method of special training has been created to raise all puppies with as many experiences and exposure, so you get confident, happy pups.

I am hoping to improve this breed and carry on the beautiful, dainty look for all future papillons. This breed is highly intelligent, faithful to owners and suited to both active and quiet homes.

Gracepol Papillons have been established since 2013 when my first litter was planned and born. Since then I have travelled around Australia, been to many shows and met many people. I enjoy this sport because I have made good friends, a good network of people and gained some great experience.
